We are looking for an Attorney/Lawyer to join a respected legal practice in Northern Minnesota. This opportunity is well suited for a newly licensed attorney or an early-career candidate who wants meaningful courtroom exposure, close client contact, and steady development as a litigator. The role centers on family law disputes while also offering involvement in other civil matters, creating a strong foundation for long-term growth. You will work alongside experienced attorneys who provide guidance, practical training, and support as you build your practice.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in family law cases from the initial consultation through final outcome, ensuring matters move forward effectively at each stage.

• Maintain ownership of an individual caseload, communicating directly with clients and providing clear legal guidance throughout the process.

• Appear at court proceedings, mediation sessions, depositions, motion arguments, and trials to advocate for client interests.

• Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and client correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Expand your experience by contributing to matters involving estate planning, probate, real estate, and business-related legal issues.

• Partner with senior attorneys to strengthen litigation strategy, courtroom presentation, and overall advocacy skills.

• Conduct legal research and case analysis to support filings, hearings, negotiations, and trial preparation.

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Minnesota or eligible for admission in the state.
• Demonstrated ability in legal research, written advocacy, and clear communication.
• Genuine interest in family law and broader civil litigation work.
• Motivation to develop courtroom, hearing, and trial experience early in your career.
• Ability to handle assignments independently while working effectively with colleagues and mentors.
• Interest in building a long-term legal career within an established Minnesota practice.
