Job Title: Supervisor, Environmental Services (EVS)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Environmental Services department. This role is responsible for supervising staff, managing schedules and staffing, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily Environmental Services operations and staff.
• Create employee schedules and manage timekeeping records.
• Coach, train, and evaluate team members while supporting performance management.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, TJC standards, and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections and resolve operational or service-related issues.
• Manage supplies, inventory, labor utilization, and department productivity.
• Coordinate with other departments to support patient care and operational needs.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, staff meetings, and competency training.
• Support process improvement initiatives and maintain operational reports.
• Assist the EVS team during peak workload periods as needed.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of recent Environmental Services experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in Environmental Services.
• Experience with staff scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
• Knowledge of TJC standards and healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with department-related software and computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hospital or healthcare Environmental Services experience.
• Experience with Lean or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Budget and expense monitoring experience.
• Experience preparing operational reports and analyzing productivity trends.
