Collision Center Technician

Parks Motor Group was founded in April of 1975 by Jack Parks with the inception of Northgate Lincoln Mercury in Tampa, Florida; changing its name in January of 2011 to Parks Lincoln of Tampa. Jack Parks' son Randy Parks soon followed with the acquisition of Longwood Lincoln Mercury in November 1979; changing its name to Parks Lincoln of Longwood in 2011. This expanded Parks Motor Group to the Orlando, Florida Market. In June 1983, Jack Parks' son Ron Parks acquired Heritage Ford in Wesley Chapel, Florida adding the blue oval to the Parks Motor Group family. Not stopping there, Randy Parks decided to branch out of the automotive arena and in August of 1983, Seminole Powersports was born. Seminole Powersports started out offering Honda with the soon after addition of Kawasaki, Yamaha and now Can-Am and Sea Doo. Ron Parks had his eye on Toyota, so in August of 1988, Ron acquired Stadium Toyota in Tampa. Then in April of 1992, Randy Parks aquired DeLand Toyota thus expanding the Orlando Market to now the Orlando/Volusia Market. Not stopping with Lincoln, Mercury, Powersports and Toyota; Randy then acquired Ford Lincoln and Hyundai of Gainesville, bringing the blue oval and Hyundai to Gainesville, Florida. Automotive Collision Technicians remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window-and-seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders. Body Techs / Collision Repair Techs position dolly block against surface of dented area and beat opposite surface to remove dents, using hammer. Auto Body Techs fill depressions with body filler, using putty knife. Body Techs remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, using wrenches and cutting torch. Bolt or weld replacement parts in position, using wrenches or welding equipment. Straighten bent automobile frames, using a pneumatic frame straightening machine. File, grind and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools. Refinish repaired surface, using paint spray gun and sander. Aim headlights, align wheels, and bleed hydraulic brake system. Paint surfaces after performing body repairs. Repair or replace defective mechanical parts. Quality check workmanship. Collision Center Technician Requirements Must have 3+ years previous collision repair experience. Must hold valid driver's license. Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service. Working knowledge of shop equipment. Must be able to accurately read and write estimates and supplements. Must be willing to work together to bring vehicle back to pre-accident condition.
