Key Experience & Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar role preferred
• CPR and First Aid certifications required for all candidates
• Capacity to work 1:1 with students on the autism spectrum or in general classroom settings
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff
• Adaptability to shifting needs in a fast-paced educational setting
• Compassion, patience, and reliability with a student-focused mindset

Responsibilities:

• Offer direct classroom support, including assisting students during instructional activities, transitions, and daily routines
• Provide 1:1 assistance for students with autism or other special needs, supporting their academic, behavioral, and social development
• Implement teacher-designed activities and behavior plans under the guidance of certified staff
• Promote positive, inclusive interactions among students and foster a safe learning environment
• Assist students with personal care, communication, or movement as needed
• Document observations, track progress, and communicate effectively with the educational team
