RN - OR Circulator

RN II, SurgeryAdheres to the Corporate Compliance Code of Conduct. Ages served: Adolescent, Adult Geriatric. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients/individuals served. Demonstrates and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patients/individuals status and interpret relative to his age-specific needs, and to provide the care/service needed. Demonstrates knowledge and skills in regard to age-specific competency such as: Pediatrics differences in VSS and medication dosages; Adolescents specifics such as common disease entities and self-image issues; Geriatric needs in regard to mobility, Psycho-social/spiritual needs and death and dying issues. Function as a scrub, circulating or float nurse in the operating room as assigned. Refer to O.R. Maintain a professional, dignified atmosphere within the unit. Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies. Maintains established hospital-wide and Cliental policies and procedures, Cliental objectives. Participates in site identification process and time out on each case. Performance Improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Provide optimal physical and emotional environment for the patient. Rotational assignments to PACU, Outpatient endoscopy Unit, and Central Service as assigned. Share call duty as required. Willingly performs other duties and innovations as assigned.
