Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Holmdel, NJ

Type: Contract (9 Weeks)

Pay: $63/hr – $73/hr

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 40 Hours/Week

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in both circulating and scrubbing surgical procedures and possess strong expertise across multiple surgical specialties.

• Apply the nursing process to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

• Provide circulating nurse support during surgical cases.

• Perform scrub duties for surgical procedures as needed.

• Complete comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after surgery.

• Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes accurately.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Monitor patient safety and respond appropriately to intraoperative needs.

• Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards and safety protocols.

• Coordinate patient care throughout the perioperative process.

• Supervise and support non-nursing personnel within the operating room.

• Maintain sterile technique and promote best practices in surgical care.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).

• Current BLS Certification (AHA).

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience in an acute care hospital setting.

• Ability to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures.

• Experience with:

• General Surgery (Laparoscopic & Robotic)

• Orthopedics

• Spine Surgery

• Podiatry

• Urology

• ENT

• Vascular Surgery

• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

• ACLS Certification.

• PALS Certification.

• Experience in a high-volume surgical services department.

• Experience with robotic-assisted surgical procedures.

• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and practices.
