Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of inpatient medical surgical experience License: State or Compact license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Recent Epic experience (within the last 6 months) - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the medical surgical specialty. The candidate must have at least 1 year of inpatient medical surgical experience. The shift is a 12-hour day, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. The patient ratio on the unit is 1:6. Candidates must float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed. Telemetry monitoring is centralized. There is a free floating charge nurse on the unit. A house discharge nurse is available to float across departments. The unit has an average daily census of 37 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Applicants must complete onboarding requirements within a specified timeframe. Previous staff must be approved to return.
