About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in the strategic scaling of financial operations. The CFO will be responsible for setting the long-term financial direction, budgeting, and forecasting, and ensuring financial compliance with all relevant regulations. This includes managing a Finance team, overseeing financial reporting, and maintaining proper internal controls to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a related discipline, a CPA or CFA certification, and at least 15 years of progressive financial management experience, with a strong background in leading a Finance team within a large organization, preferably in the public health or healthcare sector. Key responsibilities for the CFO at the company include financial planning and analysis, leading the annual budgeting process, and ensuring transparency and accountability in budget management. The CFO will also be the primary staff liaison to the Board of Directors' Finance Committee and will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure compliance with national, state, and local regulations. The role demands an individual who is an energetic self-starter, a team player, and who can effectively manage time and multiple tasks. Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in Spanish, French, or Portuguese being an advantage. The position is contingent upon funding and may involve up to 10% domestic and international travel.
