Prin Hardware System Engineer

Medtronic

Medtronic seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead hardware development for HealthCast R&D projects. The role involves managing cross-functional subsystem teams, translating product requirements into integrated technical solutions, and ensuring compliance with medical device standards throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Guide collaboration among subsystem owners to prioritize tasks and integrate functional design interfaces
Drive subsystem development workstreams to meet timelines and budget commitments
Own technical documentation, traceability matrices, and design artifacts using tools like Polarion
Conduct test and validation procedures to ensure product safety and functionality
Manage external design and manufacturing partner relationships and projects

Requirements

7+ years medical device industry experience in systems, digital, or software development
Experience delivering 3+ system-level product or portfolio releases
Ability to understand complex system behaviors and architectural constraints across disciplines
Robust design portfolio demonstrating past design work
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Agile methodology and regulated product development
