- Overtime may be available based on production needs
- Perform high-quality Flux Core (FCAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding on structural steel, pressure vessels, piping, and fabricated components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols.
- Prepare materials for welding by grinding, fitting, and cleaning surfaces.
- Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Operate welding machines, grinders, and other fabrication tools safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
- Previous welding experience required.
- Flux Core (FCAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding experience required.
- TIG (GTAW) and Submerged Arc (Sub Arc/SAW) experience is a plus.
- Must be able to read a tape measure and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Experience in structural steel, pressure vessel, or heavy industrial fabrication preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must successfully pass a hands-on weld test before starting work.
- Candidates who pass the weld test will be paid for the test.
- Candidates who do not pass the weld test will not be paid.
- Personal welding hood
- Welding sleeves
- Grinder
- Appropriate welding clothing and work boots
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be physically capable of working in a hot fabrication shop environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive welding tasks throughout the shift.
