Salary Range: $108,000 - $160,000 Annually

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing - Emergency Services to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for a busy Emergency Department and Patient Care Services division. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and emergency preparedness requirements.

The ideal candidate will be a strong nursing leader with emergency department experience, proven management skills, and a passion for driving quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Clinical & Operational Leadership

• Direct and oversee the clinical and administrative functions of Emergency Services.
• Ensure patient care is delivered in accordance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional nursing standards.
• Develop and implement patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
• Lead departmental quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and clinical excellence.

Emergency Management

• Oversee the organization's emergency preparedness and disaster readiness programs.
• Ensure compliance with emergency management regulations and standards.
• Maintain ongoing readiness for emergency and disaster response situations.
• Coordinate emergency planning, training, and response activities.

Staff Leadership & Development

• Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain high-performing nursing teams.
• Provide coaching and leadership to department managers and clinical staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support ongoing professional development.
• Foster a positive and professional work environment.

Strategic Planning & Growth

• Develop strategies to improve patient satisfaction and department performance.
• Support service line growth initiatives and operational efficiencies.
• Monitor staffing, resource utilization, and budget performance.
• Promote excellence in patient-centered care delivery.

Required Qualifications Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Advanced healthcare-related degree preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of healthcare management experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room (ER) experience required.
• Previous leadership experience within an acute care hospital setting required.

Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License .

Required Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• PALS (American Heart Association)

Additional Certifications

• CPI required within 30 days of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 60 days of hire.
• TNCC required within 180 days of hire.
