Minimum Requirements: 2 years of experience in the job specialty, BLS certification, and any applicable state licensure or specialty certifications required for the role.

Job Summary The Radiographer, under the guidance of an Imaging Supervisor, performs diagnostic radiologic examinations; assists physicians with radiologic procedures; prepares examinations for interpretation; maintains radiation safety; and assists with maintaining supplies. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines. Job Qualifications Education: Associates degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school. Licensure/Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Ohio. Maintains annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count certification. Experience: Previous staff radiographer experience preferred. Job-related Skills: Working knowledge of computer programs. Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish working relationships with internal and external customers. Essential Job Functions 4. Performs and documents diagnostic radiographic examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider. 5. Performs appropriate handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver. 6. Analyzes radiographic examinations for quality control purposes. 7. Prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist. 8. Operates all radiographic equipment. 9. Operates all facility-based computer systems. 10. Administers oral and intravenous contrast media under the direction of physician/per protocol. 11. Transports, moves and positions patients in a safe and appropriate fashion. 12. Assists physicians with special procedures involving the use of radiography. 13. Participates in quality assurance activities as related to radiographic care within the Imaging Department.
