You will perform duties as a technician for the purpose of installation and maintenance of Energy Management Systems in supermarkets, convenience stores, and foodservice establishments. Engage in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems that utilize control voltage signals and high-voltage power components. Read and interpret control and ladder logic type diagrams. Must know how to read blueprints and schematic diagrams. Use standard hand tools, power tools, and specific instruments and specialty tools such as: voltmeter, multi-meter, amprobe, manometer, RPM speed indicator. Execute plans for control wiring and other electrical systems. Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems. Install safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels, etc.). Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring compatibility of components. Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them. Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits, etc. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units. Willingness and ability to travel 25% - 75% of the time. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Basic Qualifications Three (3) + years of experience working with electrical systems with a focus in commercial construction work. Valid State Driver’s License.
