Job Summary Perform radiology exams in compliance with regulatory agencies, departmental, and hospital policies and procedures. Responsibilities Sound technical knowledge and proficiency in the use of radiology equipment, including daily upkeep and maintenance of Fluoroscopy, C-arms, portables, breast specimen imaging units, cystography tables, and general imaging accessories in the radiology examination room. Perform radiology exams as per protocol on a variety of body parts in a timely manner. Complete appropriate history forms, technologist exam sheets, and consent forms when necessary. Stock exam rooms with required supplies. Check laboratory reports and perform data entry in Meditech using accurate times and entries. Mark all images taken as verified/dictated in PACS and scan documents into PACS, attaching them to the correct patient/exam. Send exams from PACS or modality to the Amicus tele‑rad system when necessary. Enter exam notes on PACS. Verify orders in chart and properly identify patients before performing radiographic exams; initial chart with date/time when exam is complete. Interact with staff radiologists, other physicians, and imaging staff; communicate effectively with customers (physicians, patients, co‑workers, etc.). Start or remove I.V. lines when necessary. Transport patients to and from the ER and other imaging departments when necessary. Move patients on and off the exam table. Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Credentials: (ARRT-R) Radiography, (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer.
