Please keep in mind that being added to the district’s substitute list does not guarantee assignments. Substitutes are contacted on an as-needed basis . Substitute teachers accept assignments according to their preference by grade level and campus. Assignments are offered based on the needs of the district and individual campuses. Types of Substitutes Certified Texas Teacher College Degree (Bachelor or higher) Non Degree: 30+ College Hours/Associates Support: Instructional, Clerical Aid, Special Education, Nurse Rate of Pay & Documentation Certified Texas Teacher – $125.00 daily / $62.50 ½ Day – Documentation: Official Transcript and Teacher Certification. College Degree (Bachelor or higher) – $100.00 daily / $50.00 ½ Day – Documentation: Official Transcript and Region 4 Substitute Training Course Completion. Non Degree: 30+ College Hours/Associates – $90.00 daily / $45.00 ½ Day – Documentation: Official Transcript and Region 4 Substitute Training Course Completion. Support: Instructional, Clerical Aid, Special Education, Nurse – $75.00 daily / $37.50 ½ Day – Documentation: High School Diploma/GED.
