Telemetry Registered Nurse Position

Job Description

The Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring patients' vital signs and telemetry data.
• Administering medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement a patient care plan.
• Supervising and directing the activities of other nursing personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two to five years of nursing experience required.
• Must have ACLS & BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
• Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care, as well as knowledge of central lines.
• Preferred wound care experience.
• Must have a valid CO or multi-state compact RN license.

Schedule

This position operates on a 06:00-18:15 shift with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6.
