Responsibilities Originate and filter new potential corporate debt investments according to suitability for LGIMA’s clients – liaising with borrowers, intermediaries, and sponsors, and attending conferences and other industry events to build and maintain market connections. Act as Deal Captain on transactions that demonstrate attractive risk‑adjusted returns and meet client requirements, taking ownership of due diligence, credit ratings, documentation review and negotiation, all approval processes, and execution/closing. Manage existing investments by reviewing borrower reporting, rating agency reports, processing and escalating waiver requests, and producing quarterly reviews. Work closely with colleagues in Chicago and London, collaborating cross‑border with legal, credit, operations and business‑management teams. Manage key internal and external stakeholder and borrower relationships, including discussing pipeline and portfolio updates with clients. Research new sub‑sectors and products that could be appropriate investments for LGIMA clients, and support internal and external education and approvals to invest in new products that we believe show attractive risk‑adjusted returns. Support preparation of marketing materials for potential clients, and help the solutions team develop new products for Private Credit. Work with junior talent in the team to develop their technical and soft skills, providing them with opportunities to learn, grow and progress their careers. Qualifications Candidate likely has experience in investment grade private credit, private placements, investment banking, commercial banking, leveraged lending, direct lending, high yield, or other relevant sectors, with a deep understanding of identifying and mitigating credit risks. Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, and/or Economics. 5+ years of credit experience. Completion of a rotational training program in commercial banking, investment banking, or a rating agency is preferred. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential or pursuing CFA preferred. Direct experience underwriting and executing investment grade or sub‑investment grade debt transactions. Candidate must be self‑motivated, proactive, and possess strong critical‑thinking and analytical skills, with effective communication in a variety of settings. Experience working with, training, and leading less experienced members of the team. Compensation USD 150,000 – USD 170,000 annually, with eligibility to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus plan.
