POSITION SUMMARY

The Heavy Equipment Operator II performs skilled equipment operations involving small utility work, bulk excavation, and cut/fill operations. This position operates multiple pieces of equipment and works independently to support project production and quality goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate dozers, mini excavators, wheel loaders, track loaders, and support equipment. Perform bulk earthmoving and utility excavation. Load and unload materials. Perform daily equipment inspections. Maintain equipment cleanliness and safe operating conditions. Follow grade stakes and project plans. Learn and utilize GPS machine control systems. Support and direct work activities as needed. Maintain all company safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Heavy equipment operating experience. Experience in site development or utility construction. Ability to work independently. Valid driver's license and insurable driving record. Preferred: GPS experience. CDL Class A or B. OSHA certifications.

COMPENSATION

$31.00 - $34.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Overtime opportunities available.

Typical work hours begin at 7:00 a.m. Overtime opportunities are available based on project needs. Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
