Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Must have 2 years OR circulating experience Varied skill set in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery Description: Number of ORs: 8 Number of Staff: 13 RNs, 10 scrub techs Day Shift Staffing: 8 RNs, 8 scrub techs Operating Hours: 07:30 to 17:00 Patient Ratios: 1:1 Type of Equipment: EMR Meditech ORM Typical Procedures: General surgery, robotics, colorectal surgery, neuro spine, orthopedic, and urology Best Personality Fit: Flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment Floating Areas: Other like areas Dress Code: Scrubs provided Unit Guidelines/Policies: Shift starts at 06:30 Daily huddle at 06:45 45-minute response time for on-call Rotating call days based on current employees 1 RN and 1 scrub tech on call from 17:00 to 07:00, and weekend call from 07:00 to 07:00 Artificial nails, dips, gels, etc., are not permitted Weekend and On Call Requirements: Weekends covered by on-call 24 hours Saturday and Sunday Call shifts during the week begin at the end of the regular shift Shift ends at 17:00, call starts at 17:00 to 07:00 Shift ends at 19:00, call starts at 19:00 to 07:00
