Financial Services AI Compliance & Regulation Expert

Role Description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for financial services compliance, regulatory response, and AI governance professionals experienced in reviewing compliance documents, regulatory response materials, model risk summaries, AI governance artifacts, control matrices, spreadsheets, slide decks, and presentation-ready financial services materials for accuracy, rigor, clarity, and domain quality.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on financial services AI compliance review, regulatory response evaluation, rubric-based assessment, document and spreadsheet review, slide deck quality review, structured feedback, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will evaluate AI-generated work products and apply subject-matter expertise to identify factual, regulatory, analytical, aesthetic, and presentation issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Compliance & Regulatory Response Artifact Review
  • Evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks involving financial services compliance, regulatory responses, AI governance, model risk, control frameworks, risk assessments, and audit-facing materials.
  • Review compliance materials for accuracy, completeness, rigor, clarity, and practical relevance.
  • Assess whether regulatory response materials are well-supported, internally consistent, and aligned with the stated financial services context.
  • Identify inaccurate assumptions, unclear compliance logic, incomplete risk analysis, weak recommendations, or poor linkage between regulatory requirements and proposed actions.
• Financial Services AI Governance & Risk Evaluation
  • Review materials involving AI governance, model risk management, validation summaries, monitoring plans, fair lending considerations, vendor risk, privacy, consumer protection, AML/KYC, and compliance reporting.
  • Assess whether AI-related compliance materials are clear, practical, appropriately structured, and suitable for compliance, legal, risk, or leadership audiences.
  • Evaluate spreadsheets, dashboards, control matrices, risk registers, regulatory response summaries, and executive-facing recommendations for rigor and usability.
  • Provide clear written feedback that improves financial services AI compliance artifact quality.
• Spreadsheet, Document & Presentation Quality Review
  • Review spreadsheets for structure, logic, calculations, formatting, usability, and consistency.
  • Assess slide decks for organization, visual clarity, executive readability, and presentation quality.
  • Identify factual, aesthetic, formatting, and presentation errors across Microsoft Office and Google Workspace files.
  • Apply consistent review standards across documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in financial services compliance, regulatory response, AI governance, model risk management, risk management, audit, fintech compliance, banking compliance, legal-adjacent compliance review, or related work.
• Native or professional fluency in English.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Strong experience with Google Slides, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and Google Docs.
• Ability to evaluate documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to provide structured feedback.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment.

Educational Background

• Academic backgrounds in law, finance, economics, compliance, risk management, data science, AI governance, information systems, public policy, business, or related fields may be relevant.
• Advanced degree from a reputable institution may be valuable.
• Professional training in financial services compliance, regulatory response, AI governance, model risk, audit, consumer protection, or financial risk management may also be relevant depending on project scope.

Nice to Have

• JD, LLM, MBA, master's degree, or comparable compliance, finance, risk, or technology-related credential.
• Certifications such as CAMS, CRCM, FRM, PRM, CFA, CIPP, CISA, CRISC, or comparable compliance, risk, privacy, audit, or financial services credentials.
• Experience creating or reviewing regulatory responses, compliance reports, control matrices, model risk summaries, AI governance materials, audit response materials, policy documents, risk registers, or executive compliance presentations.
• Familiarity with model risk management, fair lending, consumer protection, AML/KYC, privacy, vendor risk, financial services AI governance, and supervisory response materials.
• Strong ability to evaluate both compliance substance and visual/presentation quality.
