Licensed OpticianDesigner Eyes is seeking an experienced, ambitious, motivated, sales oriented individual with exceptional management skills and customer service skills to join our team as a Licensed Optician. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 2 years eyewear sales experience and finish lab experience. Licensed Opticians must be licensed in the state of Florida. This an exceptional opportunity for the right person.The Licensed Optician position is responsible for merchandising, selling, and eyewear services. Responsible for pre-testing on patients. Makes recommendations about which type of frames or lenses will be best for a particular patient.The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Eyewear salesFinish labEnsure accurate patient information is obtainedEnsure that correct products are created per specifications per orderAbility to make recommendations based on prescription, and latest fashion trends and patients' needsAbility to manage and lead a team of sales associatesCompliance with Designer Eye's policies and proceduresCompliance with HIPAA guidelinesPerforms eyewear maintenance as neededPerforming other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Licensed Optician in the State of Florida.Applicants must have experience in an optical or eye care practice.Knowledge of current ophthalmic products and optical measurements required.At least two years of experience in industry.Excellent oral and written communication skills, bilingual in Spanish will be a plus.
