Medical Assistant - Physician Services Coordinator (Stockbridge GA)

Physician Services Coordinator The Physician Services Coordinator assists physicians and other medical staff in day‑to‑day scheduling of inpatient and outpatient visits, supporting medical staff in the use of database technology and electronic medical records, compliance auditing, and management of patient lab data. Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following core job duties. Core Responsibilities Review overnight and weekend emails for medical provider triage and the H&P completion report—bring to Flash Print out labs from Quest and bring to Flash for signature Review Power BI and bring to medical director as requested Ensure upcoming discharge summaries are completed within 5 days (Facility Metrics Medical) Order validations (Facility Metrics Medical) Ensure documentation is in the final report Schedule daily physician, nurse practitioner, and physician assistant visits, maintaining spreadsheets, adjusting for level of care changes, ensuring appropriate number of visits occur, and coordinating with billing/finance. Send to BHTs for transportation coordination of patients to providers Maintain data reports from Power BI including all facility medical metrics: history and physical timeliness, discharge summaries completed within 5 days, diagnosis within 24 hours, suicide assessments, PDMP documented within 48 hours, EKG documented, order validations within 24 hours Performance metrics include daily medical visits ASAM 3.7 WM or medically managed residential, intensive inpatient, twice‑weekly visits for ASAM 3.5 residential, PHP and IOP weekly, and a minimum of four visits per week for applicable programs; send updates to medical director as directed. Additional Responsibilities Assist case manager with Leave of Absence and Short‑Term Disability paperwork Cross‑train as a BHT for emergencies (patient needing 1:1 etc.) In conjunction with the medical director—create monthly schedule for medical staff, on‑call coverage and weekend coverage, including PRN’s Attend Med Exec monthly meeting and type the minutes Assist with obtaining paperwork for Vivitrol, Sublocade and other medications that may require prior authorization Assist in orienting new medical staff (EMR, tour, Relias, ADP) Maintain the physician handbook—online at this time as well Audit charts from medical records: print charts that need corrections, have provider sign, date, and scan into patient chart to finish audit process (requests from billing/auditor) Provide ARS Staffing Calculator for Medical Director, Dr. Wandler and Brian Geraghty, daily and monthly submissions Order prescription pads when due Schedule interviews for new hires with Medical Director Help manage urine screening data and reporting to medical department Work with UR on scheduling MD‑to‑MD reviews as needed Assist nursing with difficult blood draws if needed Do EKGs if needed Requirements High School diploma required Minimum one year in a healthcare setting If currently an employee of ARS, must have worked a minimum of 6 months in an ARS treatment center Medical Assistant (MA) preferred Benefits We offer great benefits including 401(k), paid time off plan, medical, dental, vision, and much more.
