Position Details:

• Role: Licensed Veterinary Technician
• Status: Full-time
• Salary: $22.00 - $23.50 / hour
• Schedule: 4 x 9-hour shifts. One Saturday shift (9 am - 12 pm) per month

This position will involve approximately 30% on administrative and leadership responsibilities and 70% on direct support for patients and clients, including general surgery.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring:

• Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness are essential.
• Maintain a professional and safe environment in the practice and refrain from negative talk, gestures, or implied attitudes that reflect poorly on the hospital.
• Will have 2+ years of management experience in a veterinary setting.
• Assistants with 3+ years of management experience in a veterinary setting are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do:

• Mentor veterinary technicians, assistants, and kennel attendants while encouraging ongoing professional development.
• Plan and coordinate duties with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, Chief of Staff, and Hospital Manager to cover daily clinical schedule. Steps in where necessary.
• Act as a liaison between staff and management; reports concerns to the Hospital Manager or Chief of Staff.
• Develop, update, and teach Standard Operating Procedures
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on hiring, scheduling, and onboarding new team members.
• Maintain the highest level of patient care.
