Accounting Manager

Sandis is currently looking for an Accounting Manager to join our accounting team in Roseville. This role maintains the general ledger, reviews financial statements, prepares financial reports, assists with audits and budgeting processes, reconciles accounts and payroll. Why you will love it here: Professional development, training, and mentorship Comprehensive benefits package Amazing teams of supportive and hard-working professionals Responsibilities: Assist with budgeting, financial forecasts, and variance reporting Prepare project reconciliations and follow-up with clients Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls Review AP coding and process lien waivers Support accounting operations: Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, payroll, cost accounting, and revenue recognition Prepare and draft accurate and timely financial statements and reporting Prepare AR collateral reports for bank loans Compile weekly cash flow updates and periodic utilization reports Monitor liquidity and financial risks; flag concerns and make recommendations Assist with the collaboration of external auditors and tax advisors for audits and filings Mentor and support the development of accounting team members Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making Support and understand complex payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance Stay current on financial regulations and recommend policy updates Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in (AEC) industry CPA preferred Prior payroll experience strongly preferred, ADP Workforce Now preferred Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with general ledger and month-end/year close processes Accounting Software experience (Ajera preferred) Proficient in Microsoft Office; proficient in Excel Sandis Benefits: Competitive salaries, end-of-year bonuses, and 401k Medical, Vision, and Dental insurance, including life and long-term disability Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for health care, parking and transit, and dependent care expenses Starting paid time off at 24 days - 16 PTO and 8 paid Holidays 3 days paid bereavement; 10 days paid jury duty In-office coffee and snacks Education reimbursement and professional license program Paid dues for relevant professional organizations Sandis is a professional services corporation specializing in civil engineering (Land Development Design), traffic engineering, land surveying, and planning, but we are much more than the services we offer.
