Step into a dynamic opportunity serving students in the Birmingham, Alabama area with your expertise in Speech-Language Pathology. This contract position, starting as soon as possible and extending through June 10, invites dedicated professionals to make a lasting impact in local schools. Assignments will be determined based on specific needs and school locations, ensuring a meaningful placement where your skills are needed most.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator Certification is required.
  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Solid understanding of laws, regulations, and policies related to services for children with disabilities.
  • Proficiency in pediatric and adolescent development, and familiarity with relevant diagnostic tools and terminology.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and regulations.
  • Advanced communication skills—both oral and written.
  • Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Credentials:

  • ASHA Certification.
  • ABSESPA Licensure.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted speech and language therapy to students, adapting strategies to meet diverse developmental needs.
  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized educational programs for children with various disabilities.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to ensure clear, effective communication and student progress.
  • Compile and analyze data to inform programming and compliance with educational standards.

This fully on-site role is designed for professionals eager to be present in the school community—remote (VOCO) services are not permitted.
