Fitch Group is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack based out of our NYC office. Fitch Group Technology has a number of agile teams that deliver world-class innovative solutions to Fitch Group internal and external customers. This position will be within one of our agile teams delivering software products for our BMI business. In this position, you will have the opportunity to be a part of an exceptionally talented, bright and driven team, and apply your skills in novel ways. And you will have fun doing it! Our technology stack is modern - cloud based, containerized, serverless and microservices oriented. You will play a key role in implementing tools and processes that aim to improve the quality of our end-to-end code while creating a more efficient and sustainable workflow for our customers. You will work in a hybrid (in-office / Work from Home) arrangement, in a collaborative and supportive work environment where your ideas and contributions are valued with a focus on achievable improvements that get used every day.

We'll Count on You To:

• Design, develop and deploy cloud native container based financial applications
• Developing new user experiences using React JS
• Design, develop REST based API Services using NodeJS/Python
• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
• Optimize components to work seamlessly across different browsers and devices

What You Need to Have:

• 7+ years of experience designing and developing distributed application architecture of moderate-to-high complexity.
• 5+ years in Nest JS, React JS, Open Search experience, c#, Docker
• In-depth knowledge of Typescript, SCSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
• Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, React Hooks, Redux/MobX/Recoil or other state management frameworks
• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgresSql and MSSQL
• Experience in working with scrum, keeping track of your sprint item in JIRA and completing everything on time.
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems.
• Ability to lead offshore team
• Experience working with multicultural global technology teams in the financial industry
• Exceptionally self-motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with AWS Dynamo DB, AWS Neptune, lambda, S3, document DB
• Familiarity with modern data architecture and engineering technologies
• Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $140,000 and $150,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch's total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
