Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in critical care nursing License: New York license required in hand Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Epic charting experience - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience in a medical intensive care unit preferred - Travel experience required Description: Must have a valid New York license in hand. This position is for an ICU Registered Nurse. The shift will be 4 nights per week from 19:00 to 07:00. The contract length is 8 weeks, with the possibility of extension. Every other weekend coverage is required. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2. Epic charting experience is mandatory. ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Candidates must be within a 75-mile radius. Key skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line care. Proficiency in continuous IV sedation, monitoring emergency medications, and infection prevention is essential. Candidates will be responsible for interpreting dysrhythmias and managing IV insulin protocols. They should be familiar with procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Applicants must be capable of starting and maintaining IVs and managing PICC lines. Thermoregulation for hypothermia and hyperthermia is also required. Experience with titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips is expected.
