Location: Richmond, VA (Onsite)
Duration: Contract | October 2026 - January 2027
Pay Rate: $24 - $28\/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Parking: Free onsite employee parking
About the Opportunity
Beacon Hill's client in Richmond, VA is seeking a Property Associate to support an industrial commercial real estate portfolio. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in commercial property management. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong customer service and administrative skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Commercial real estate experience is preferred but not required. Experience with Yardi is highly desired but not required.
Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary administrative support resource for an industrial property portfolio
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to tenant inquiries and coordinating maintenance requests
• Support property management operations through data entry, document preparation, and maintenance of property records
• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions
• Manage certificates of insurance (COIs), invoice coding, and other financial administration tasks
• Coordinate vendors and work orders to ensure timely completion of property maintenance and repairs
• Assist with monthly reporting, financial summaries, and property performance updates
• Support lease administration activities, including tenant onboarding, filing, and documentation
• Assist with tenant communications, events, and engagement initiatives
• Provide backup support for reception duties, mail distribution, and general office operations
• Perform additional duties as needed to support property operations
  Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Communications, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in an office environment, preferably within commercial real estate or property management
  • 1-2 years of customer service or customer-facing experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to grow within the commercial real estate industry
  • Experience with Yardi software is a plus
  • Commercial real estate experience is preferred
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
