Travel Registered Nurse ER Holding / Observation

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for an ER Holding / Observation Unit assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This role supports patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge from the Emergency Department. Nurses manage stabilized patients who still require monitoring, coordination, and timely reassessment in a high-throughput environment.

This opportunity is ideal for nurses with ER or PCU experience who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume settings and are confident in prioritization, patient flow management, and rapid reassessment.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12
• Schedule: Non-block scheduling
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
• EMR: Epic

Compensation:

• Gross: $2,071 per week
• W2: $16.50 per hour
• Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week

Clinical Focus:

• ER Holding and Observation patient care
• Continuous monitoring and reassessment
• IV medications and blood product administration
• Coordination with ED and inpatient teams
• Rapid response to condition changes

Requirements:

• Active RN license REQUIRED
• Minimum 2 years ER, ER Holding, Observation, or acute care experience REQUIRED
• Telemetry and patient monitoring experience REQUIRED
• BLS REQUIRED
• ACLS preferred
• Epic experience REQUIRED
• Ability to float within scope REQUIRED
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills REQUIRED
• First-time travelers accepted (facility dependent)
