Senior Operating Room Assistant – Providence Portland Medical Center This posting represents 1 FTE, full‑time, evening position (5.8‑hour shifts, 40 hours per week). Weeknights, weekends with weeknight, weekend and holiday call. The Senior Operating Room Assistant (OR Core Tech or Set‑Up Technician) retrieves and assembles (picks) all necessary supplies and equipment for each surgery procedure. The assistant monitors instrument and supply levels in the sterile supply areas, coordinates the location of supplies, collaborates with materials management to address shortages, assists in cleaning and preparing operating rooms, safely transports patients, retrieves and decontaminates instrumentation, delivers equipment, processes and maintains instruments, and may assist with opening supplies before surgery.
