Jack's Maintenance Service is currently looking to hire a hardworking and driven 1st Shift Shop Assistant with a passion to exceed and grow within our company. We are a janitorial and maintenance company specializing in commercial cleaning. We do what it takes to get the job done right, and we've been doing it that way since our founding in 1952.

As a Shop Assistant, we will depend on you for a variety of job duties. (Core job responsibilities including but not limited to):
• Trouble-shoot and repair various types of commercial cleaning and custodial equipment in house and in the field including motors, engines, and production equipment
• Ability to follow diagrams, operations & service manuals, and manufacturer's instructions to troubleshoot or repair equipment
• Maintain company vehicles & trailers (Perform minor repair, cleaning vehicles, and refueling)
• Deliver supplies and equipment to various buildings
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventory
• Clean, test, and stage any incoming or outgoing equipment
• Provide general assistance around the shop, including laundry and grounds keeping

Requirements:
Shop Assistant Qualifications and Requirements:
• Familiarity with cleaning-related equipment usage and maintenance. (Setup, calibration, and/or preventative maintenance)
• Familiarity with hand tools
• Familiarity and aptitude for handling basic 120-volt, DC electrical, and small engine repairs
• Ability to analyze situations and prioritize tasks
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record is required
• Position contingent on the ability to pass an acceptable criminal background screening and drug test
