Senior Sterile Processing Tech – Sterile Processing

Shift Type: 5x8 (variable shifts; primary coverage expected nights) Typical shifts: 0500-1330, 0630-1500, 0700-1530, 1000-1830, 1330-2200, 1900-0330, 2130-0600

Local travel allowed (50-mile radius) On-call required; float between Main OR and Pavilion

Total experience: 5 years required Leadership: Minimum 3 years in a shift lead/precepting/team lead role in a hospital setting Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission Required certifications: BLS; CBSPD or HSPA (or equivalent) Key equipment experience: Da Vinci Xi (robotics), Getinge autoclave (including 86 series washer), Amsco autoclave, Steris V-Pro, Steris System 1E, Triton 72 ultrasonic cleaner Core clinical skills: Sterilization and decontamination workflows, manual cleaning, washer/sterilizer operation, ultrasonic cleaning, scope processing, tray/set assembly, implants handling, robotics instrument handling

Ensure the sterility of instruments and equipment through effective sterilization and decontamination processes. Perform manual cleaning and proper operation of washers and sterilizers. Assemble instrument trays and handle implants and loaner trays. Process endoscopes and other surgical instruments following established protocols. Act as a shift lead when required, supervising staff and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Must commit to working 3 of these 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day Orientation: ~40 hours Background checks and compliance with client policies required Requested time off must be declared at submission; limited flexibility thereafter
