Snapshot / Role Overview
We're looking for a Building Automation Technician in Orange County to program, commission, and service open-protocol DDC systems for a mechanical contractor's construction and controls team, across hospitals, universities, and commercial facilities.
Impact
Increase facility energy efficiency and lower operating costs for high-profile clients.
Keep systems reliable and equipment downtime low.
Support smart-building growth across the region.
Responsibilities
Program and commission DDC and BACnet systems from sequences of operation.
Integrate HVAC, lighting, and metering over BACnet or Modbus.
Perform point-to-point checkout, network verification, and functional testing.
Troubleshoot controller failures, communication issues, and logic errors in the field.
Coordinate with contractors and facility operators.
Document as-builts, punch lists, and project records.
Must-Haves
Hands-on programming and commissioning of open-protocol DDC systems.
BACnet and Modbus integration experience.
Field troubleshooting skills.
Nice-to-Haves
Niagara or Distech certification.
Healthcare or campus project experience.
Compensation and Logistics
Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Full-time, based in Orange County.
