If you believe you can be successful in this role, we encourage you to apply even if you dont meet every qualification listed./ppThe Accounts Payable Specialist performs duties necessary to ensure all agency accounts are paid in a timely manner according to agency policies and generally accepted accounting principles. They are responsible for efficiently processing high volumes of accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy in invoice coding, vendor reconciliations, and payment processing. It involves maintaining up-to-date vendor records, managing weekly and monthly payment cycles, and responding promptly to vendor inquiries./ppKey responsibilities include:/pulliProvide administrative and operational support to the department/liliMaintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting/liliSupport compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards/liliProcess all accounts payable invoices into the accounting system/liliProcess weekly check run and upload checks in to Positive Pay/liliEnsure all processed invoices are scanned into accounting system/liliEnsure that all appropriate staff are entered and/or terminated in company fuel program/liliCommunicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail/liliProvide information to supervisors, co-workers, and/or others by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person/li/ulpRequirements:/ppEducation:/ppRequired: High School Diploma/ppPreferred: Associate degree/ppExperience Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel. (For all positions, the years required can be interchanged with equivalent experience from an advanced degree related to this job and/or with other relevant experience verified by applicant/incumbent)./ppVehicle Related Requirements:/ppAccess to reliable transportation to get to/from work: Required./ppAccess to a reliable automobile: Not required, but preferred./ppMust provide proof of auto liability insurance (and continue to while working in this position): Not required, but preferred./ppMust possess a valid drivers license: Not required, but preferred./p/div
