About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President of Engineering to lead its engineering organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the engineering direction, owning execution, and building a strong leadership team. This role is pivotal in shaping business decisions, influencing across functions, and driving the adoption of AI to transform the way the company operates. The SVP will be expected to be a hands-on AI practitioner, with a focus on real, measurable business outcomes, and to help the broader company work more effectively through AI. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, be business-minded, and have a proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams. Applicants for the SVP of Engineering position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of engineering experience, with a significant background in leading managers and senior engineering leaders. The role requires a leader with strong situational judgment, the ability to balance modernization with delivery, and a commitment to developing leaders within the organization. Experience in fintech, payments, lending, or other regulated, transaction-intensive environments is a plus. The candidate should be familiar with a range of technologies, including Go, Node.js, React, AWS, Kubernetes, and native iOS and Android development, and have a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience. The company values strong engineering fundamentals and architectural judgment, and the ability to influence and earn the confidence of executive peers.
