This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (36-40 hours per week); occasional weekends or call may be required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in various surgical specialties, including ENT, Dental, Plastics, Pediatrics, and Trauma Level 1. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient status and parameters throughout the surgical process.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal care.
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the EMR system (Epic).
• Participate in emergency procedures as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in an Operating Room setting.
• Active RN license in the state of Maine.
• BLS certification required; PALS preferred.
• AORN certification is a plus.
