About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Ophthalmology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM (07:00 – 16:30) Hours per Shift: 9 hours Experience: Ophthalmology experience required (Cataracts, Glaucoma, Ocular Plastics) License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS required, CNOR recommended Must-Have: Excellent interpersonal skills Independent problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Description: Provides nursing care in accordance with the objectives, policies, procedures, and protocols. Participates in patient teaching. Incorporates the needs and behavior of the patient's specific age and cultural groups in planning and providing care. Participates in quality improvement activities. Specializes in cataract, glaucoma, corneal transplant, and ocular plastic surgeries for adult patients. No call, weekends, or holidays required. Fast-paced and progressive surgery center environment. Skills checklist is required for submission.
