Job Summary

A growing organization in Malibu, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in a direct hire, onsite role. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning the month-end close process, improving financial reporting, and supporting leadership with accurate financial insights.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring GAAP compliance, strengthening internal controls, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment with supportive leadership, strong cross-functional teamwork, and opportunities to contribute meaningful process improvements within the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting deadlines.
- Maintain the general ledger, reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts, and ensure accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial statements, prepare management reports, and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and variance reporting.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and account analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and internal controls.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $75,000 to $90,000 per year.
- Onsite position in Malibu, CA.
