The position will be responsible for providing technician support for BAS, maintenance agreements, system upgrades, and controls related service requests.Location: Bowie, MD / Baltimore, MD / Washington DC / Alexandria, VAWhat you will do:Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationshipsIdentify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systemsPerform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customersMaintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programmingProvide controls technical support to HVAC techniciansCreate and/or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projectsCommission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet scope, design, or specificationsProvide training and follow-ups for Customers and operations personnelComplete work orders and review with customers for accuracyContinually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectivelyWhat’s in it for you:Factory Certified Training, Online Training Courses, or other professional on the job training in the HVAC IndustryThe opportunity to work on all types of commercial equipment and cutting-edge technologies such as Intelligent Equipment, Magnetic Bearing Technology, and VRF TechnologyDaikin Applied provides technicians with company vehicle, laptops, mobile devices, and other technologiesThe ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growthThe support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our bestThe opportunity to work for a leading innovator in HVAC and make a difference in environmental initiatives to create a more sustainable world for allMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.3+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility.Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.Ability to lift 50lbs with or without an accommodation.Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in BAS, HVAC, or related industry.Proficiency with test instruments and calibration tools.Competency in operation of engineering/commissioning tools, DDC controllers and field devices, BACnet protocol fundamentals.Competency in the operation of HVAC equipment and controls.Ability to understand written sequences of operation.Ability to read low voltage wiring diagrams and controls flow diagrams.Niagara AX and/or Niagara 4 certification.Experience with any common integration protocols such as: BACnet MST / IP, LON, Modbus TCP / RTU, Ethernet OIP, MQTT, or SQL.Strong computer skills, including computer networking fundamentals.Good verbal and written communication skills.Customer-focused, results-oriented professional, and strong team player.Motivated self-starter that demonstrates initiative.Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.Current first aid / CPR card.The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $37.90 - $60.46 in MD/DC. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
