Supply Chain ManagerBalanced Body is hiring! We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to handle our company's procurement activities. The Supply Chain Manager responsibilities include developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities.To be successful in the position you should be able to manage and optimize purchasing activities and processes. An outstanding Supply Chain Manager should have excellent leadership abilities and be able to negotiate the best possible cost/quality balance with suppliers.You will be leading a small purchasing team whose focus will be on placing purchase orders and following up on open and late supplier deliveries. You should be comfortable in a fluid environment where project priorities shift often. The functions of this position demand consistency, high attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.What you'll do:Spearheading the execution of supply chain strategies that support objectives for material cost reduction, supplier OTD, inventory reduction, supplier quality and supplier lead timesImplementing lean concepts (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Leadership, 5S, etc.)Leading the efforts to develop, implement and manage alternate material replenishment methods (consignment, kanban, vendor managed) that increase turns year over year while supporting 100% customer on-time delivery and lead-time reductionResponsible for site tactical procurement activities, receiving, stockroom and shipping departments to include all assigned personnel and the integrity of all relevant data in the systemResponsible for all issues affecting on-time delivery and quality of product from our suppliersDevelops and leads a team of buyer-planners and material handlersImplementing and maintaining robust alternative material replenishment systems that maximize the number of inventory turns while supporting 100% customer on-time delivery and quality and continuous lead-time reduction goalsCoordinate meetings and publish minutes to keep Value Stream and Site management informed of status on any issues that may cause delays in shipmentsSupport new product introduction procurement requirementsRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related fieldOne or more secondary certifications preferred (i.e. APICS, CSCP, CPSM, etc.)10+ years of supply chain experience; 5+ years managerial experience in manufacturing atmosphereDevelop visual standard work for all major processes and ensure compliance of sameDevelop, implement and support processes that continually reduce the number of transactions required to maintain and move materials and information flowsMonitor supplier scrap, being fully responsible for all valid in-house rejects of purchased partsCoordinate all technical communications with suppliers & obtain corrective actions in a timely mannerBuild a highly skilled, highly regarded and motivated customer focused teamAny other task assigned by your supervisor or managementKnowledge of international markets and related logistics highly preferredStrong MS Office skills, ERP/MRP skills – MS Dynamics Business Central experience a plusExperience with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Where-Used reportsExcellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skillsPositive and professional demeanor, detail oriented, self-starterWork Schedule and Salary:Fully On-site in Sacramento, CA 95828Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PMThe Company:Balanced Body is the world's largest designer and manufacturer of Pilates equipment, as well as a provider of high-quality Pilates and other mind-body instructor training and continuing education.
