Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room as a circulating and/or scrub nurse, ensuring safe and therapeutically effective nursing care
- Complete the nursing process in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
- Provide physical and psychological support to patients, families, and friends throughout the perioperative experience
- Utilize nursing assessment skills to recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications
- Maintain the work area and uphold hospital, Nursing Department, and regulatory standards
- Participate in 24-hour call coverage as required
Required Qualifications
- Current Washington State or Multistate RN license required
- Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required at time of hire
- Active ACLS certification required
- Active PALS certification required
- Ability to practice in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and applicable regulatory standards
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in Operating Room nursing
- Previous experience in Recovery Room (PACU) nursing
