Securities Litigation Associate Attorney

Locations: Boston, MA; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA

Direct Counsel is seeking a Securities Litigation Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm with a nationally recognized securities litigation practice.

Position Overview

The Securities Litigation Practice represents clients in a broad range of securities and complex business disputes at every stage of litigation. Matters include federal and state securities class actions, derivative suits, merger litigation, shareholder disputes, fiduciary duty claims, corporate governance matters, and other sophisticated commercial litigation.

The team includes attorneys with extensive private securities litigation experience, former SEC enforcement lawyers and federal and state prosecutors, and professionals with accounting and public company experience.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of significant law firm experience in securities, complex commercial, and/or business litigation.

• Experience handling sophisticated disputes involving federal and state securities laws, shareholder claims, fiduciary duties, corporate governance, class actions, and other complex business matters.

• Experience with complex commercial dockets, including the Massachusetts Business Litigation Session (BLS), is a plus.

• Experience with SEC investigations, internal investigations, and related regulatory or enforcement matters is a plus.

• Strong experience with legal research and writing, substantive motion practice, discovery, depositions, and case strategy.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex matters clearly and effectively.

• Strong work ethic and a collaborative approach.

• Demonstrated interest in taking on increasing levels of responsibility and delivering excellent client service.

• Admission to the bar in the state in which you practice, or eligibility for admission by waiver.

Compensation

Boston, MA: $260,000-$390,000
New York, NY: $260,000-$390,000
San Francisco, CA: $260,000-$390,000

Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus and comprehensive health and welfare benefits. Compensation will vary based on factors including market data, skills, prior relevant experience, degrees, licensing, and certifications.
