Job Overview – Salesperson Entry level sales position capable of supporting the DIY business and achieving our sales and service objectives. The role requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive system knowledge, and basic part knowledge. The individual must be able to source parts from stores, hubs, pdq, and external suppliers, and has in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. The position can be part time or full time. Fleet safety certification is preferred. Primary Responsibilities Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customers during in‑store visits and on the phone. Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its overall sales targets. Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper blade installation, etc. Maintain store product and operational standards. Manage inventory processes including truck put‑away, cycle counts, and back‑stock. Secondary Responsibilities Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, storage areas, parking lot). General stocking, including truck stocking and back‑stock. Safely deliver parts to customers as needed. Success Factors Basic driving and navigation ability. Proficiency with delivery board systems. Friendly communication skills. Ability to locate and stock parts. Safety knowledge and skills. Experience operating inventory systems and store equipment. Parts and automotive system knowledge. Work Environment The employee typically works inside but sometimes works outside, exposed to weather conditions while installing batteries and wiper blades. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
