Qualifications & Experience Desired: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in educational environments Ability to facilitate clear communication between students, staff, and faculty Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach Appropriate certification or licensure for interpreting in Washington State Familiarity with IEP processes is a plus Key Responsibilities: Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school activities for students who are deaf or hard of hearing Collaborate closely with teaching teams and support staff to ensure students' needs are met Adapt signing methods and vocabulary for individual student requirements Provide clear, accurate interpretation for parent meetings, school assemblies, and extracurricular events Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times Why Consider This Opportunity?
