TITLE: Founding Engineer - Senior Trading Platform & Integration Engineer - Do you have experience delivering secure, scalable business-critical systems, comfortable making architectural decisions and reviewing third-party code. LOCATION: Remote / Hybrid (Preferred overlap with core team) - Monthly NYC visits if RemoteABOUT CLIENT: We are building a modern electronic trading platform integrating with institutional broker technology, real-time market data, and secure trading infrastructure. We are looking for a Senior Trading Platform & Integration Engineer to join our engineering team. This role extends beyond a single integration project and will play a key part in evolving the trading platform, enhancing trading capabilities, improving platform architecture, and delivering new features as the platform grows. This is a specialist engineering role suited to someone with experience building or integrating financial, brokerage, or capital markets systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, build and maintain core backend services supporting the trading platform
- Lead secure integration of third-party trading, brokerage and authentication systems
- Review and harden externally developed code before production deployment
- Develop integrations with trading APIs, OMS and market data providers
- Build scalable real-time services
- Enhance authentication and identity management
- Improve scalability, observability, and production readiness
- Collaborate across engineering teams / Support production environments / Promote engineering best practices
