Role Description The Certified Personal Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based at AYB's Springfield, MO facility. This role involves designing and delivering safe, effective, and personalized training programs for individuals and small groups, including youth and adult clients with diverse fitness levels and goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting fitness assessments, leading circuit-style and strength-focused sessions, monitoring client progress, and providing ongoing coaching on form, injury prevention, and motivation. The trainer will collaborate with dietitians and other team members to align exercise plans with nutrition strategies, support sports performance and wellness goals, and maintain a welcoming, inclusive training environment. Additional duties include maintaining equipment and training spaces, documenting client sessions, and participating in team meetings and continuing education as needed. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Personal Training and Fitness Instruction skills, including program design, client assessment, and safe exercise progression. Candidates should possess skills in Circuit Training and group-based workout coaching to lead engaging, efficient, and scalable sessions. Candidates should possess Sports Coaching and youth training skills to support athletes and young clients in performance, technique, and long-term development. Candidates should possess foundational Nutrition knowledge to reinforce healthy fueling habits in coordination with registered dietitians. Nationally recognized personal training certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA) required; CPR/AED certification strongly preferred. Experience working with diverse populations, including beginners, recreational exercisers, and athletes; ability to modify workouts for different abilities and health conditions. Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-service skills, with a commitment to inclusivity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
