Role Description The Facilities Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Boston, MA, responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and smooth operation of CommonWealth Kitchen’s facilities. This role includes performing routine building maintenance, conducting equipment inspections, and completing repairs on kitchen appliances, mechanical systems, and facility infrastructure. The Facilities Technician will monitor facility conditions, respond to maintenance requests, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. Responsibilities also include coordinating with external vendors, supporting facility upgrades and preventive maintenance schedules, and following safety and compliance guidelines to protect staff, members, and visitors. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for commercial or industrial environments. Experience in Facility Management (FM) and Building Maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, and structural care. Strong Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and facility-related issues efficiently. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, follow preventive maintenance plans, and maintain accurate maintenance records. Knowledge of safety standards, codes, and best practices in building and equipment operations. Comfort working in a commercial kitchen environment and around food production equipment. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work respectfully with a diverse community of staff and entrepreneurs. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training, trade certification, or prior facilities experience is strongly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
