The CORE Institute is seeking highly qualified neurologists who wish to be part of a dynamic and integrated team dedicated to delivering the best in musculoskeletal healthcare in our Arizona markets. Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as MRI, CT scans, X-rays, and other imaging modalities to identify spinal disorders.
- Develop and discuss appropriate treatment plans with patients, including surgical and non-surgical options.
Interventional Procedures:
- Perform minimally invasive spine procedures such as epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablations, and spinal cord stimulator placements.
- Conduct advanced surgical techniques, including decompressions, fusions, and disc replacements.
- Ensure the use of sterile techniques and adherence to best practices in the operating room.
- Postoperative Care and Follow-Up:
- Monitor patients' recovery and manage postoperative complications.
- Provide comprehensive postoperative care instructions and coordinate follow-up appointments.
- Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare providers to optimize patient recovery.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including neurologists, pain management specialists, physical therapists, and radiologists.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery plans.
- Participate in case discussions, medical rounds, and team meetings.
Research and Education:
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in spinal surgery and interventional techniques.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to research activities.
- Educate medical students, residents, and fellows through lectures and hands-on training.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical regulations, and quality standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery
- Licensure/Certification
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, or Pain Management.
- Valid medical license to practice in [Insert Location].
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Experience:
- Proven experience in performing interventional spine procedures and surgeries.
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating spinal disorders.
- Skills:
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
