Pro Rehab , an established Rehab company with over 35 years of successful business, is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to join our staff at Westhaven, in Boone, IA .Whether you are just starting out or looking to take the next step, Westhaven is a place where your work is valued and your future supported. No Productivity Requirements! New grads are welcome to apply! Position Type: PRN/ On-Call, minimum availability of 6 hours per month Wage Range: $45 - $60 / hour depending on experience. Location: 112 W 4th St, Boone, IA 50036
Speech Language Pathologist Responsibilities:
- Assess & Diagnose Communication Disorders: Evaluate patient needs and deficits such as but not limited to: patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing difficulties.
- Develop & Implement Treatment Plans: Create personalized therapy programs to improve the functional deficits of the patient.
- Provide Speech & Language Therapy: Conduct exercises and interventions to improve communication and speech abilities.
- Educate & Support Patients & Families: Teach strategies for effective communication and techniques to improve daily life.
- Monitor Progress & Adjust Treatment: Track patient improvements, document progress, and modify therapy plans as needed.
- Collaborate with Healthcare & Education Teams: Work with doctors, teachers, and therapists to ensure comprehensive support for patients.
Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate from an Accredited Speech Therapy Program and have a bachelor’s degree.
- Must possess a current accredited MN Speech Therapist License.
- Must possess strong knowledge regarding state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to Home Health care.
- Develop care plans and discharge planning strategies for optimal patient recovery.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and personalized treatment plans.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and home care practices.
- Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
