Details 9-bed ICU setting within a hospital Adult ICU population with occasional stable pediatric patients; unstable pediatric patients are transferred to a higher level of care Patient ratio of 2:1, unless 1:1 care is indicated Potential for Med/Surg overflow with ratios up to 3-4 patients per nurse 12-hour day or night shift schedule 72 hours worked every two weeks Minimum of three nurses staffed on each shift May float to other departments to assist, but will not take a full patient team while floating Requirements Active HI RN license required Minimum of 2 years of experience required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Current PALS certification required Pediatric experience required Additional Information Deliver critical care nursing services to adult ICU patients, with occasional stable pediatric cases Charge nurse duties may be assigned as part of shift responsibilities First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-743666.
